Northumberland County Council is launching a survey for families of primary school-aged children with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND) as part of the National Wraparound Childcare Programme.

The Government’s ambition is that by 2026, all parents and carers of primary school-aged children (5 to 11 years old) who need it, will be able to access term-time childcare in their local area from 8am to 6pm.
As part of the planning for the delivery of the programme, the council wants to understand the level of demand from families of children with SEND in Northumberland.
This survey has been co-produced with Northumberland Parent Carer Forum, which is the Department for Education’s recognised parent carer forum in Northumberland.
Families are encouraged to have their say by completing this online survey: https://nland.uk/ROkl
Support with childcare costs for eligible families is expanding and the support can be used for wraparound care. Find out more about support available on the Childcare Choices website.
