 Early Years Team

Find out more about Northumberland's Early Years Team.

Early Years Team

Northumberland has a highly skilled Early Years Team. Their role is to develop the capacity of the early years workforce and ensure all Early Years Settings are meeting the requirements of the statutory EYFS Framework including ensuring settings are fully inclusive and support all children in their learning and development including those with additional needs and/or SEND.

Early Years Inclusion Consultants within the Early Years Team (if permission is sought from you by your child's Early Years Setting), may observe your child in the setting to support practitioners to implement specific strategies which will help your child to access the provision successfully.

They also help settings when applying for EYSTAR (Early Years Short Term Additional Resource – Early Years Inclusion Fund).

Your Early Years setting can make contact with the Early Years team - if you feel that your child could benefit from support from the team, please contact your nursery or Early Years setting.
